CCR: Music Video

Image
How does your product use or challenge conventions AND how does it represent social groups or issues? The genre of the song was R&B and we wanted it like that because the idea of our music video was a heartbreak and breakup theme. The music video did not involve social groups, It was a fun video to produce. BeyoncĂ©'s vocal performance in the song is emotionally charged. Her expressive delivery effectively conveys the pain, strength, and assertiveness associated with a breakup, making it resonate with listeners who may have experienced similar emotions. The lyrics of "Irreplaceable" tell a powerful story of a woman who discovers her partner's infidelity and decides to end the relationship. The words are poignant and relatable, capturing the essence of heartbreak and the empowerment that can come from walking away from a toxic situation. Heartbreak is a universal theme that resonates with a broad audience. "Irreplaceable" captures the pain and strength ...

Production Blog- the final touches of the project

Image
Hey blog welcome back to another blog. In today's blog, I will talk about the final touches of the editing process with Mercedes and my project.  To kick off the editing process, I carefully reviewed all the footage we had shot, making sure to choose the most captivating and visually dynamic clips that synced well with the music's rhythm and lyrics. "Irreplaceable" has a distinctive beat, and syncing the visuals with the music was a priority. CapCut's precise timeline and audio synchronization features made it easy to align the footage with the song's tempo. Transitions are essential in creating a fluid and engaging music video. CapCut offers a variety of transition options, such as cuts, fades, and creative effects, allowing for smooth transitions between scenes. Enhancing the video's color palette to match the mood of the song was crucial. CapCut's color correction tools enabled me to adjust the brightness, contrast, and saturation, resulting in a ...

Production Blog- Putting our video together with SOUND

Image
Hey, blog I am back with another episode. In today's blog, we will talk about the editing of the music video. I will talk about the sound editing portion of the editing process.  When it comes to creating a captivating music video, sound editing is a crucial element that often goes unnoticed, yet it has the power to elevate the entire viewing experience. In our latest production featuring BeyoncĂ©'s iconic track "Irreplaceable," we delved deep into the world of sound editing using the powerful CapCut software.   The first step in this musical journey was selecting the perfect song. "Irreplaceable" not only provided a catchy and emotional backdrop, but its lyrics also resonated with the storyline we wanted to convey in our music video.   CapCut quickly proved itself as the ideal choice for our sound editing needs. Its user-friendly interface allowed us to cut, splice, and arrange audio clips with incredible precision. The software's built-in library of e...

Production Blog- Finshed with the Scenes

Image
Hey blog, your favorite blogger is back with another episode. In today's episode, I will talk about how we completed our scenes. Completing our scenes has been a huge stress reliever for us. We were able to complete our scenes in one day being with each other. Since there was only Mercedes and I in the group we had to improvise. Our filming process would go like if it was a scene showing the both of us we would have to take turns filming each other. If there was a scene showing only one of us then we would just record one another. Mercedes wore a white shirt, black shorts, and sandals. I wore a white shirt, black shorts, and slides. It took us 4 hours to film the scenes. We only took 2 breaks and tried to do as much as possible before really needing a break. Although our filming level is not professional, I think we had a good representation of different shots and angles. I enjoyed how our scenes came out and how they were put together. It was difficult to keep a straight expressi...

Production Blog- The problems behind the scene

Image
Hey, blog I'm back with another episode. In today's episode, I will talk about the problems that me and my group partner faced while filming. We faced a problem with time efficiency. We were having issues with finishing our filming in time before we had to go home due to the fact that we were still children. Another issue we faced was procrastination there were times when we would meet together and become lazy and not film that day because of the tiring week we already had. We also faced unfortunate events where we were filming and the phone we were using died on us while filming. Another issue we faced was the location. Even though our filming involved a car, we also filmed outside the car which could become a problem at times due to the loud background noises from the outside. We also came across a weather problem during the outside scenes. Another issue we came across was having to redo the scenes because we kept laughing and joking around with one another, which is not rea...

Production Blog- Trying to get the glue to stick!

Image
Hey blog Guess who's back, your favorite blogger. In today's episode, I will talk about the planning that we are still doing for our music video. My partner and I are still trying to figure out a good recording schedule for the upcoming week. Monday after school was a thought since we have an early release day. Mercedes mentioned Tuesday but I have work so that day will not be available for me. During the music video, I will be wearing a white shirt, black shorts, and slides. Mercedes will also be wearing a white shirt, black bottoms, and slides. Our scenes are very simplistic there should be little to no issues with the production. We are not professional videographers so an issue can happen but that is okay we will fix it when we are done filming. The location we chose was inside and outside a car. The reason we chose this location was because it minimizes background noise compared to a public environment. If any Issue occurs with our first location idea then we will bring t...
