Genre Blog- Thriller

Thriller- a novel, play, or movie with an exciting plot, typically involving crime or espionage.

Camera angles for thriller-

  • Close up and extreme close ups.

  • High angle shots.
  • Low angle shots.
  • Canted angles.
  • Wide shot.
  • Panning shots.
Misenscene for thriller- Limited amount of make-up in order to make the characters on screen more relatable for the audience. Low level lighting creates shadows in order to create fear and tension within a viewing audience.

editing for thriller-  All thriller films use fast and slow paced editing in their films

Common editing for thriller- A screaming sound is conventional to a thriller film because the character on screen has been frightened by something which has a profound effect on the audience.

Example films of thriller- Get Out, The Silence Of The Lambs, and Primal Fear.

Elements of thriller I like- I enjoy the plot twist, Cliffhangers, exciting climax, and the antagonist.

Elements of thriller that don't appeal me- False endings are very annoying because you expect the ending to be what the film set it out to be but then it makes an complete curve and does not end the way it was suppose to.
